My name is Tate. He doesn’t call me that, though. He would never refer to me so informally, if he referred to me at all. No, he’ll barely even speak to me.

But he still won’t leave me alone.

We were best friends once. Then he turned on me and made it his mission to ruin my life. I’ve been humiliated, shut out, and gossiped about all through high school. His pranks and rumors got more sadistic as time wore on, and I made myself sick trying to stay out of his way. I even went to France for a year, just to avoid him.

But I’m done hiding from him now, and there’s no way in hell I’ll allow him to ruin my senior year. He might not have changed, but I have. It’s time to fight back.

I’m not going to let him bully me anymore.

***This novel contains adult/mature young adult situations. It is only suitable for ages 18+ due to language, violence, and sexual situations.

I have a love-hate relationship with this book.

I hated Jared in the beginning because he’s a natural jerk who’s really a perfect description of BULLY. He was arrogant and so full of himself that at first, I didn’t think I could stand him. I have to admit that I did struggle adjusting with his attitude. No matter how sexy he is, still he’s a bully. But surprisingly my feelings toward him changed when I got to know the real him and the real reasons why he acted that way.

The best thing about this book is the female protag Tate. Hot damn, she’s a kick-ass woman! For someone who was bullied for over how many years in school, how she manages her situation being the victim is really admirable. I love her ferocity and the way she fought Jared tooth and nail, to the point that I found everything in this book quite hilarious and very entertaining.

I could not believe it myself but in the end, I found myself loving this book, despite my annoyance from the beginning up to the middle part. I think what made it all up was the romance because it was really intense . Ha! Just what I was looking for. *smirks I love their sexy scenes. The chemistry is undeniable and it just tickles all the right boxes for me. Mehehe

All the feels!

  1. It was the opposite for me. I really liked the beginning but not the part towards the end. The novella of this book also turned me off too. But I gotta say, Penelope Douglas writes such intense and hot scenes!
