Hi, bookworms! Only two days to go and it’s already 2016. Have a happy New Year to everyone! 🙂 I have a lot of plans for the coming year and it makes me feel so excited just thinking about them. One of them is a special buddyread with my new friend, Alaina of An Infinite Book World. (Feel free to follow her amazing blog, guys! You can also find her on Instagram: @alainabagan.) Aaaand we decided to read After by Anna Todd. Have you guys read this book yet? I’ve heard lots of awesome things about this book, especially after hearing that it was initially introduced via Wattpadd as a fan-fic. Also, it’s a New Adult book. Of course, I love NA! It’s my favorite genre! Well well well look who’s giddy??
In case you haven’t heard about this book, here’s a Synopsis taken from Goodreads:
Tessa is a good girl with a sweet, reliable boyfriend back home. She’s got direction, ambition, and a mother who’s intent on keeping her that way.
But she’s barely moved into her freshman dorm when she runs into Hardin. With his tousled brown hair, cocky British accent, tattoos, and lip ring, Hardin is cute and different from what she’s used to.
But he’s also rude—to the point of cruelty, even. For all his attitude, Tessa should hate Hardin. And she does—until she finds herself alone with him in his room. Something about his dark mood grabs her, and when they kiss it ignites within her a passion she’s never known before.
He’ll call her beautiful, then insist he isn’t the one for her and disappear again and again. Despite the reckless way he treats her, Tessa is compelled to dig deeper and find the real Hardin beneath all his lies. He pushes her away again and again, yet every time she pushes back, he only pulls her in deeper.
Tessa already has the perfect boyfriend. So why is she trying so hard to overcome her own hurt pride and Hardin’s prejudice about nice girls like her?
Unless…could this be love?
Now newly revised and expanded, Anna Todd’s After fanfiction racked up 1 billion reads online and captivated readers across the globe. Experience the Internet’s most talked-about book for yourself!
There was the time before Tessa met Hardin, and then there’s everything AFTER … Life will never be the same.
Doesn’t it sound so amazing? I can’t wait to read this book together with Alaina. If you want to join us guys, feel free! Our schedule will be some time in January 2016. 🙂 YAY!
What are your bookish / reading plans next year? :)) Have an amazing Holiday!
Oh, Hessa! Lol. You guys are definitely going to have some fun with this book, especially with the ending.

I read this on Wattpad because After is popular and it’s a harry style’s fanfic so of course I need to read it since Harry is my bae ❤ but meh I did not finish reading it, because I don't like Tessa and idk why hahahaha. Maybe I'll give it a shot next time 🙂

What fun to do a buddy read! I’ve only done one before and while it was lots of fun, I found out that my friend read waaay faster than I did! LOL So I was about halfway thru the book when she finished. Oops! I read After (and the rest of the series) back in Jan-Feb and I kind of have a love/hate relationship with the characters and the story. I had sooo many issues with the characters and the writing… but I couldn’t stop reading it! LOL I hope you and Alaina have a great time buddy reading this one!

LOL at that, Tanya! It happens to me all the time. And I’m usually the slow reader. LOL. I hope I will enjoy this book because it does sound promising. I’m glad the series was still enjoyable for you! But ugh… I hope I won’t get annoyed with the characters. Thank you so much for dropping by my blog, Tanya. 🙂
