Synopsis new

From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Katy Evans comes a brand new contemporary romance. WOMANIZER is a full standalone, and no other books in the series need to be read.

You’ve seen the headlines: Womanizing billionaire player! Watch out! Stay away!

We were just two strangers. Facing a forbidden attraction, a chemical connection. Neither of us expected or wanted it to amount to more.
But I had never been drawn to a guy the way I was drawn to this one: my brother’s best friend, and CEO of the company where I interned.
Even knowing I should stay away, I proved to be too human, after all.
The chemistry was amazing.
The laughs were incredible.
I opened up to him in more ways than I’d opened up to anyone before.
But sex was as far as I’d go.
Just sex because he was too irresistible.
Just sex because I wouldn’t be falling for him.
Just sex because I’d leave in three months, and I’d like for my brother not to kill me, and for nobody to find out he was my wicked little secret.
He wasn’t the One.
He was just a womanizer.
But for a time, he would be mine.

my thoughts new

“Life sometimes doesn’t run in the cycles it’s expected to. We are all here for a blink. Life changes in a blink. We fall in love, sometimes, in a blink.”

Forever in love with Katy Evans’ books!

Callan and Olivia. Gaaah!!! I couldn’t even begin to describe the sexual tension and overflowing steamy scenes between these two. I was so rooting for them from start to finish.

Olivia “Livvy” Roth was introduced in the previous Manwhore book Ladies Man and we’ve known her as Tahoe’s little sister. When Tahoe endorsed her to his best friend’s huge company to work as an intern, Olivia expected to meet a ruthless business mogul in the name of Callan Carmichael. While working there, she had an encounter with a literally hot smoker guy whom she thought as an ordinary employee (a mailman) and whom she shared smoking sessions every day and even had a one night stand with. Little did she know that the smoker guy was in fact, the very owner of the company– Callan.

The book was basically steeped in steamy scenes after steamy scenes. Classic Katy Evans. Aaand I loved every bit of it. Callan and Olivia’s chemistry was off the charts. They’re both hot, success-driven, and they both understand each other’s wants. To simply put, they’re made for each other.

I loved that their story was not heavy on the angst and how the scenes were created to make the reader smile and swoon. It basically kept me on my toes. If you are looking for an office romance with over-the-top sensual scenes with less dramas, I believe you will love this book. You don’t have to read the previous books in this series (although I recommend you to read them too because they are equally amazing!) because it is a standalone. All in all, Womanizer was another enjoyable book to devour. I’m excited about Wynn’s story!

Billionaire playboy? Check.
Ruthless businessman? Check.
Absolutely sinful? Check.

Malcolm Saint was an assignment. A story. A beautiful, difficult man I was supposed to uncover for a racy exposé.

I intended to reveal him, his secrets, his lifestyle—not let him reveal me. But my head was overtaken by my heart and suddenly nothing could stop me from falling. I fell for him, and I fell hard.

Malcolm Saint is absolute Sin, and I’ve become a hopeless Sinner.

Now that the assignment is over, Saint wants something from me–something unexpected–and I want this wicked playboy’s heart. But how can I prove to the man who trusts no one that I’m worthy of becoming his plus one?

my thoughts

They can call me whatever they’d like, it doesn’t change anything. I’m his plus one… and he’s my everything.

I have to admit, I thought I was never going to love the second book of this series the way I adored the first, but the ending ofManwhore +1 totally changed my overall feelings toward this book. It was so beautiful that it left a smile on my face.

Manwhore +1 is the continuation of Manwhore. In this book, Malcolm and Rachel’s story continues after the insane cliffhanger the first book left us.

The first half of this book did not have much else going on, except for the fact that Rachel tried to win him back by proving to him that she regretted what she did. What happened in most parts were plenty of sex and making-outs. But I have to give credits to Katy Evans for pulling everything off by making the second half of the book more meaningful and with emotional depth. I was satisfied.

I admire Rachel’s character here, especially when she proved that she’s not dependent on Malcom and his money and she chose to pursue her career by doing it on her own. What just made me roll my eyes was her inconsistency sometimes. Sometimes she was so obsessed with Malcom but there were also times when she was holding back even though Saint was so into her. In the end though, she turned out a better character and that’s what’s important, right?

My favorite of this book is of course, Malcom Saint. Well, who doesn’t want a perfect man who definitely stands out among other characters? If not for him, this book and this series would have been so dull.

I enjoyed this book so much. It has a perfect ending. I’m still on high right now! It’s just so hard to move on when you’re reading a great book. *sigh*

Is it possible to expose Chicago’s hottest player—without getting played?

This is the story I’ve been waiting for all my life, and its name is Malcolm Kyle Preston Logan Saint. Don’t be fooled by that last name though. There’s nothing holy about the man except the hell his parties raise. The hottest entrepreneur Chicago has ever known, he’s a man’s man with too much money to spend and too many women vying for his attention.

Mysterious. Privileged. Legendary. His entire life he’s been surrounded by the press as they dig for tidbits to see if his fairytale life is for real or all mirrors and social media lies. Since he hit the scene, his secrets have been his and his alone to keep. And that’s where I come in.

Assigned to investigate Saint and reveal his elusive personality, I’m determined to make him the story that will change my career.

But I never imagined he would change my life. Bit by bit, I start to wonder if I’m the one discovering him…or if he’s uncovering me.

What happens when the man they call Saint, makes you want to sin?

my thoughts

I seriously don’t know how to express how I enjoyed this book. I could not say it’s perfect, but I definitely could say it’s a guilty-pleasure book and it’s one helluvah page-turner!

I love the undeniable chemistry between the main charactersMalcom Saint and Rachel Livingston. They really make a perfect and interesting couple. The character of Malcolm is apparently one big cliche (a tall, hot, billionaire, manwhore) but man, I could not deny that I love these kinds of characters (lol) no matter how they fell so unrealistic. Rachel is an okay character but there are times when she annnoys me. Nevertheless I was able to tolerate her attitude because it’s understandable. She came from a broken family and she has trust issues.

The romance is definitely HOT. I’m not even kidding! There were steamy scenes and they are a lot.

But of course the sexy scenes equal the extrimity of romance. There is a love story and the characters did not only have pure lust. The emotions were apparent and it’s one of the reasons why I was hooked. Unfortunately the plot felt a bit unoriginal because it gave me the feeling that I was reading Judith McNaught‘s contemporary romance book Double Standards. But I’ve read the said book several years ago, so reading this felt like bringing the feels back into my system again.

“All those great romances, they’re not planned, they just happen.”

Manwhore is also entertaining because there is humor in the author’s way of writing. Rachel’s POV, in some way, also reminds of Caroline’s POV in Wallbanger. So naughty and funny! 😀

As a whole, this book is great. A typical New Adult book that will surely entice romance readers. I love it! The ending was a cliffhanger, though. But I’m glad the second book is already out so I’ll definitely grab it! 🙂
