Synopsis new

New York Times bestselling authors Colleen Hoover and Tarryn Fisher are back with the much-anticipated final installment in the Never Never novella series.
Together, Silas Nash and Charlize Wynwood must look deeper into the past to find out who they were and who they want to be. With time ticking down, the couple are in a race to find the answers they need before they lose everything. Can they regain what they once had? And will it restore who they once were?

my thoughts new

“I could spend every day getting to know you all over again, Charlie, and I don’t think I’d get sick of it.”

When I started reading this finale of Never Never series, I’ve already decided to rate it either 4 or 5 stars. That moment when you’re confident enough that the final book will give you the grandest, most surreal surprise. (Guess we all deserve that after those series of cliffhanger endings..) I must say my expectations were too high on this because I’ve enjoyed the first and the second book real hard! (Part 1 – 4/5 stars; Part 2 – 5/5 stars).

The first half of the book hooked me big time! The thrill of getting closer to finding out the mystery behind Silas and Charlie’s amnesia was overwhelming and so were the series of events which were getting edgier as the chapters went by. I swear I got a lot going on on my mind and I was forming way too many theories, trying to figure out the dreaded truth! And BAAAM! The anticipated plot twist. Wait, is that even a plot twist?

description

In my opinion, it’s just an explanation. Nothing really exciting and I couldn’t bring myself to consider it a twist. It’s painful to say this but I was significantly less impressed with the revelation I’ve been freaking out over the months. There was this huge revelation about Charlie’s dad though, but… Is that it? After all? Ugh.

I guess the only thing that does not make this book a total let-down was of course, the beautiful and powerful writing of Colleen Hoover and Tarryn Fisher. The story was a quick, fast-paced read and there were no boring parts all throughout the book. The romance also got me on my feels on a lot of levels. I guess those were the factors that held me together.

(Some beautiful quotes I’ve highlighted, by the way. 🙂

“I don’t see anything ever happening in this life that could make me not want you all over my skin.”

“I love you. Enough to camouflage you into my skin.”

“Fate is the magnetic pull of our souls toward the people, places, and things we belong with.”

“We can’t take back who we’ve been in the past, Charlie. But we can control who we are in the present.”

Overall, Never Never: Part Three was good, but I wasn’t really wowed. It could be an epic finale if there was a better twist. It really lacked the freak-me-out factor. But well… it wasn’t really that bad at all since the ending and the epilogue were great and the questions were answered in the end.

“Never stop. Never forget.”

“Never forget that I was your first real kiss. Never forget that you’ll be my last.
And never stop loving me between all of them.
Never stop, Charlie.
Never forget.”

Silas races against time as more truths unravel, while others twist tighter together. And now, the stakes are higher as Silas’ control slips and others begin to point fingers. Charlie is in trouble and he must be the one to bridge the chasm between their past and their present. Because somewhere between I love yous and Never Nevers and Never Agains, a truth they can’t imagine, beckons to be found.

“Where are you, Charlie?”

MY THOUGHTS…

never never

“Until then, never lose hope. Never stop loving me. Never forget. Never Never.”

Oh jeez what was that?? I’m totally

MIND-BLOWN!

Whoa! That was one helluvah crazy ride!

This novella was a lot better than the first because I finally found some answers that I was craving since the first installment, though I admit I’m still not satisfied. Even though CoHo and Tarryn revealed some of the unknown, still– I can feel that there are a lot more to unravel. THEY WERE SIMPLY NOT ENOUGH! All throughout the book, I was too compelled because it simply sucked me right in. It totally picked my interest from page 1 up to the last.

My favorite of this novella is of course, Silas’s POV. I love him. I love every moment I’m in his head like seriously, the humor and the sexiness combined into one. *swoons

When it comes to the plot, well, it was so damn amazing. Very well executed by these two amazing authors! In this novella, you can expect really f*cked up situations. Everything that happened between Charlie and Silas was a mess! But it was perfectly built with loads of adrenaline-pulling scenes. And when I finally got into that ending, I was like…

Best friends since they could walk. In love since the age of fourteen.
Complete strangers since this morning.
He’ll do anything to remember. She’ll do anything to forget.

MY THOUGHTS…

What. Was. That?!

I was not prepared for that little twist at the end and that major freaking cliffhanger ending!

When I started reading this, I did not have a clue what this was about. Its premise is indistinct and hazy but I thought I decide to just go with the flow and eventually find out what the hype is about..

Little did I know that it will interest me and more as the story goes by. The mystery is quite catchy. More like the Mara Dyer series, but in a different sense. I like it.

And knowing it’s the work of my favorite author CoHo, well, that seals the deal. 🙂 Pretty much! I don’t really have any idea about Tarryn Fisher’s writing style because I was not able to read any of her books yet, so honestly, I can’t quite determine and judge how good she is by reading this.

When it comes to the characters of this book, I love them, Silas and Charlie. They have that chemistry and they’re kind of funny, too. Now when it comes to the overall storyline, it’s good, but I guess it’s not enough. I needed more. The plot is impressive (Thanks for CoHo and Tarryn’s brilliant imagination), the sexy stuffs they incorporate here, but I was looking for more, I guess. (I wonder when the next book will come out?)

Anyway, I really had fun with this book. It’s insane and beautiful in a f*cked up way. I love the unpredictability of the book and how it literally mind-blown the heck out of me. If you guys are up for a light yet intense, mind-boggling read, consider this one. Believe me, you’ll freak out!
